Weta Digital Looking for Assets Production Coordinator at Wellington City, Wellington Full Time

We are looking to hire an Assets Production Coordinator to join our Department.

We are keen to talk to experienced production candidates (3+ years of experience in VFX or a related field) who have an eye for detail, can work independently and are confident liaising with production and artists at all levels.

This is a great opportunity to work with the Virtual Art Department, one of only a few of its kind in the world. You’ll be coordinating a small and passionate team of generalists who deliver real-time assets for Mocap, Previs, and Animation, using the unique Weta proprietary pipeline and contribute to the successful delivery of shows. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling assets (In Department Production)
• Meeting scheduled targets
• Arranging dailies, rounds and meetings, creating playlists and recording notes
• Arranging and/or attending senior VFX Supervisor reviews & Director reviews
• Supporting artists
• Requesting overtime as necessary
• Coordinating delivery & supporting documentation as required.

Having a broad understanding of the VFX pipeline, experience with meeting tight deadlines and a proven track record in supporting artists schedules and task tracking will be critical to your success in this role. A solid knowledge of scheduling tools such as Shotgun, database knowledge, Excel and Office 365 is also important.
