Accounting and Accounts Payable Clerk

Company Description:

WG/Welch Mechanical Contractors, LLC, located in Frederick, Maryland is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk to their team. We are a client-oriented mechanical contractor that provides first class plumbing, heating and air conditioning services.
This entry level position will work closely with our accounts payable department and accounting team learning procedures for processing daily invoices and other accounting functions.

Education

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in accoun ng, finance or related field a plus
• Previous accounts payable experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable using Sage (Timberline), TImberscan so ware and other

programs

• Processing invoices for payment
• Handling accounts payable for various vendors
• Establishing and maintaining rela onships with new and exis ng vendors
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Ensuring bills are paid on a mely and accurate manner while adhering to

departmental procedures

• Linking all documents to transac ons for historical records
• Maintain and update required Subcontractors Cer ficate of Insurance Data
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly vendor statements
• Ability to use internet to pay invoices online

Work Hours and Benefits

• Coverage begins on the 1st of the month following date of employment for Health,
