POSITION SUMMARY

The Crisis Clinician provides crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization clinical and case management services for children birth through age 17. The clinician willrespond out in the community to provide crisis intervention services and safety planning. May work with emergency departments, inpatient units and congregate care providers to identify and coordinate crisis and diversionary planning for high needs youth in need of intensive community based planning to prevent multiple admissions to such settings and otherwise promote the use of MCIS to coordinate intensive plans for high needs youth.
Starting salary: $60,000
Eligible for a $10,000 sign/on retention bonus. $2,500 upon hire, $2,500 after one year and $5,000 after two years.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling.
Must hold one of the following credentials: to start employment LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut.
