Senior Analyst, Engineering
This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst, Engineering opening to join our Clyde Manufacturing organization. For this role, you will work with manufacturing operations and suppliers on containment of non-conforming material and establishing corrective actions. Work with suppliers and other Whirlpool functions to enable the supplier to create quality plans, implement corrective actions, generate quality metrics, and continually improve quality systems. Also you will support Whirlpool quality and cost projects by attending regular reviews such as productivity reviews and Customer to Customer (C2C) reviews. Conduct supplier audits, evaluate Production Part Approval Process Packets(PPAP’s), and work with other Whirlpool functions to ensure the suppliers meet quality requirements prior to production. Identify quality improvement opportunities and drive problem solving with appropriate cross-functional teams, supervise Engineer Technicians and give direction on corrective action, communications with suppliers, and containment/rework implementation.
Your responsibilities will include
• Work closely with our assembly operations to maintain day to day manufacturing of best in class quality products.
• In this role you will need to work with our team to solve any lack of quality issues caused by incoming material.
• Will lead cross functional teams and be responsible for ensuring projects are completed and corrective actions are validated.
• Results will be measured by project completion using WCM methodology and data, validating project effectiveness.
• As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for mentoring and developing both our Technician workforce as well as our Associate Engineers and
Project Engineers while also
maintaining day to day responsibilities to the highest levels.
• Will present projects in front of large groups including the Clyde division staff on a regular basis.
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Quality Engineering
Preferred skills and experiences
• Experience with formal quality system assessments and part qualifications
• Statistical background required with hands-on experience in Quality Assurance (QA)/ Quality Control (QC) analysis methods
• Firsthand knowledge of Customer to Customer (C2C)/Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP),
Failure Mode Effects Analysis
(FMEA), Measurement System Evaluation (MSE)/Process Control
