Due to our continued growth, Whitefox is looking for a Customer Support – Process Plant to join our Operations team based in the Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Director of Project Delivery & Customer Support and working closely with the engineering teams, this role is key to the successful delivery of Whitefox customer satisfaction.
The Role:
You will be vital to the successful delivery of Whitefox customer satisfaction. The position will require a pragmatic person with high performance orientation and experience analyzing process data. You will be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, ability to manage Customer Support enquiries and being able to work independently in a fast-pace environment. You are the kind of person who loves getting things to work and optimising processes to be more effective and efficient and you are passionate about innovation & sustainability.
Position Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this role are, but not limited to:
- Promote safety in your work above all else.
- Support existing industrial installations, including process and procedure improvements.
- Communication and collaboration with the process design team, and detail engineering team.
- Ongoing operations procedure guidance and plant troubleshooting.
- Gather, analyze, and report equipment and process performance data.
- Develop operator training materials and mentor/train Customer Support operators.
- Provide onsite customer support presence at industrial plants, laboratories and supply chain partners as required.
- Participate in onsite commissioning activities of new membrane installations.
- Representing Whitefox at tradeshows and conferences.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- 1 – 3 years industry experience.
- Understand the basic principles of heat and material balance.
- Strong MS Office familiarity, MS Excel in particular.
- Basic understanding of process equipment.(pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, etc).
- Familiarity with ethanol production a plus.
