Williams Esports, launched in 2018, competes in all the major sim racing championships and events, as well as in wider esports tournaments in Rocket League through the Williams Resolve team. The esports business brings the Williams name to the fore in the gaming world, far beyond its core activity of F1.

The Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most iconic and successful race teams in the world, Williams Racing.

The Events Executive will join the Esports team to deliver industry-leading experiences to our players, guests, fans and customers at esports events around the world. Reporting to the Director of Esports and working alongside the Ops Manager and Team Manager, this role will play a key part in delivering events that enhance the Williams Esports brand experience and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning, co-ordination and delivery of Williams Esports external events taking place around the world, including F1 races, F1 fan activations, esports tournaments, gaming festivals, other motorsport races, partner events and others
• Preparation, logistics and operation of the sim racing hardware and software used at external events, including repair, replacement and installation of all equipment as required
• Hands-on, front-of-house event and guest management
• Supporting the wider esports team with event booking, administration, marketing and partner engagement
• Supporting the esports team with activity in the on-site facility as required, for corporate & public Esports Lounge events, driver training camps, media & sponsor events, and content production
• Liaise with wider Williams team, third party agencies and suppliers, building strong working relationships and managing output.
• Supporting the wider Experience Centre team with events as required
• Acts as a brand champion, ensuring the Williams brand is represented correctly and consistently across all content output.
• May require flexible and unsociable working hours and some travel, depending on the event calendar and team requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Proven experience working in events and guest experience
• Strong knowledge of sim racing hardware and software
• Relevant qualification in Events or a related subject eg. Marketing/Esports/Hospitality
• Strong balance of creative flair, eye for detail and project organisational skills
• An enthusiastic self-starter, with an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• A problem solver, able to use initiative to ensure deadlines are met on time to a consistently high standard.
• Able to work flexibly with a positive can-do attitude
• An appetite for international travel
