Summary
The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team is the first point of contact for all contacts and referrals into children’s services. The MASH team consists of co-located agencies (including Health, Police and children’s social care) and are continuously developing practice by building strong relationships with all partner agencies.
Within the MASH is our Early Support Hub which builds effective support within our communities for children and families where there is not a safeguarding risk.
The MASH team works together to ensure a timely consistent, response to all contacts to provide the best outcomes for Wiltshire’s children and young people.
About the role
Working within the MASH, you will work closely with colleagues, providing advice and support regarding Early Help services, including ESA, DART and SARF. You will also support Lead Professional and the Team around the Child process. You will be providing advice and signposting professionals and families to appropriate resources as required.
Committed to an integrated approach and ensuring that vulnerable children and young people get the right level of service at the right time, you will have a good operational understanding of children’s services. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable operating in a multi-agency environment with a creative and flexible working style.
About You
This is an exciting role which will provide you with the opportunity to ensure children and families receive support before problems become entrenched. This role sits within our Early Support Hub and you will be our lead for education, focusing on building and retaining strong relationships with schools and our Education service within the council and support children and families.
The Early Support Hub also works with several virtual partners including probation, army welfare service and adult and child mental health services. You will benefit from regular supervision, development through training and be part of a positive/supportive team culture.
