Wipro New Zealand is now expanding and is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Wellington.

The Business Development Manager (Hunter) will be responsible for sales into new and existing logos within the New Zealand market.

The purpose of the role is to build new relationships, seed new projects that lead to larger, long- term services relationships and build bold value propositions relevant to C-Suite executives resulting in large, long-term relationships. This position will be focused on new sales origination and hunting new logos and target accounts, with the expectation to scale new revenue growth.

• Build CXO connects – Nurture the client over a period of time.
• Understand client problems, offer a solution to deliver business impact by bring the ‘best of Wipro’ resources.
• Hunt and develop new business within key industry segments including Financial Services, Communications, Public Sector, and other Enterprise clients, via organic efforts and target account list.
• Strong focus on growth and winning logos with long-term potential (e.g., large deals).
• Leverage alliances (cloud, digital etc.) and external partnerships to identify different areas where joint proposition/ solution can be delivered to our customers.
• Identify key decision makers in client organization and industry to develop and strengthen relationships with them and become a trusted advisor.

Preferred Experience / Requirements:

• Senior Business Development Executive, with proven track record of breaking new accounts and scaling new growth within the New Zealand market.
• 10+ years of IT Services/ Portfolio Sales experience via a professional services or consulting firm.
• Demonstrated quota achievement in complex selling environments utilizing a IT solution selling model and good understanding of customers’ business initiatives and its implication on the process and technology landscape.
• Experience monitoring sales trends around the target new clients, market dynamics and incorporate into existing business development strategy plans.
• Track-record of increasing deal signing margins through consultative selling, single source deals and a coordinated sales strategy.
