I. Job Summary
Oversees planning and execution of large and moderately complex projects related to Recycling Machinery systems, Solid Waste, and relative Site & Building improvements.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Inspects and analyzes project sites, and monitors compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and determines and acquires resources needed.
Develops and maintains project plans and budgets, and prepares and analyzes project performance reports.
Negotiates, administers, and manages contracts of contractors and consultants.
Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.
Supervises team work processes and procedures and expenses, and supports programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
Reviews and evaluates on-site construction work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Conducts on-site progress visits. Monitors field installation and testing. Reviews and evaluates operational efficiency of equipment and systems at various facilities.
Oversees project personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.
Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non-supervisory employees. This includes:
Direct supervision of up to two (2) full-time employees.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
Experience: Five years minimum of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
