Full-time IT Support Specialist

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, back-up to on-call as needed

Duties Include:

• Maintenance of a secure network and related Information Technology and Facility Security Systems

• Solve or work to develop solutions to problems in areas of computer hardware, software, internet and telephones

• Provide software support including installing new software, updates, back-up and disaster recovery

• Secure Internet access and set up firewalls

• Create new user access and establish communication software such as company internal email

• Maintain network hardware and software, direct network security measures and monitor networks to ensure availability to system users

• Maintain IT hardware such as hard drives, monitors, printers, computers, disk drives, cables and backup systems

• Set up equipment for new employees, add or remove hardware from the system network and make minor repairs

• Provide end user support, answer questions regarding hardware/software, handle problems and create training manuals, and participate in new employee orientation and direct training of staff

• Excellent customer service and communication skills required

• One year of technical support experience or IT related experience preferred

• Experience in a healthcare experience is a plus

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows desktop operating systems, Windows 2008/2012/2016 server platforms, network diagnostic tools, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory, DHCP and VPN strongly preferred

• Knowledge of timekeeping products, digital/analog phone systems, security systems, and EMR desired

• Experience with website maintenance, supporting laptops, tablets and wireless devices and a familiarity with remote access tools is helpful

• Experience working with outside vendors such as cable, cellular, and security is helpful
