Full-time IT Support Specialist
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, back-up to on-call as needed
Duties Include:
Maintenance of a secure network and related Information Technology and Facility Security Systems
Solve or work to develop solutions to problems in areas of computer hardware, software, internet and telephones
Provide software support including installing new software, updates, back-up and disaster recovery
Secure Internet access and set up firewalls
Create new user access and establish communication software such as company internal email
Maintain network hardware and software, direct network security measures and monitor networks to ensure availability to system users
Maintain IT hardware such as hard drives, monitors, printers, computers, disk drives, cables and backup systems
Set up equipment for new employees, add or remove hardware from the system network and make minor repairs
Provide end user support, answer questions regarding hardware/software, handle problems and create training manuals, and participate in new employee orientation and direct training of staff
Excellent customer service and communication skills required
One year of technical support experience or IT related experience preferred
Experience in a healthcare experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows desktop operating systems, Windows 2008/2012/2016 server platforms, network diagnostic tools, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory, DHCP and VPN strongly preferred
Knowledge of timekeeping products, digital/analog phone systems, security systems, and EMR desired
Experience with website maintenance, supporting laptops, tablets and wireless devices and a familiarity with remote access tools is helpful
Experience working with outside vendors such as cable, cellular, and security is helpful
