The Countdown Analytics and Insights team are at the heart of delivering critical insights and operational analytics to enable the business strategy as well as our every everyday operations. We have a big ambition to enable an intelligent, data smart grocery retail business through the pervasive use of data and the embedding of smart analytics end to end. Providing key Analytics and Insights capability to our Loyalty squads and external partners, this critical role will allow you to contribute towards creating NZ’s best retail loyalty program.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

• Use and visualise data to generate insights to drive loyal customer and partner relationships with Countdown.
• Use and visualise data to generate insights to drive engagement in the loyalty program
• Design, build and maintain customer segmentations and other models to enhance customer experience
• Work collaboratively alongside business partners (loyalty, marketing, digital teams) and other analytics professionals
• Provide day to day mentoring and peer review of team members
• Be a champion of analytics in the wider organisation

About You | Mōu

To Succeed In This Role You Will Need To

• Have solid experience working on Customer & Loyalty Analytics initiatives
• Practical hands on expertise working with SQL, Python will be an advantage
• Excellent ability to visualise data using tools like Tableau and PowerBI
• Be business outcomes focused and ability to show value incrementally
• Experience interpreting, telling stories, and creating value with data
• Ability to confidently talk with business stakeholders internally and with external partners at different levels of seniority and technical proficiency
• Ability to problem-solve combined with attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a collaborative, cross functional environment.
• Comfortable working within set processes, but confident to challenge on ways to improve
• Think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Able to manage priorities
