Follows established Individual Educational Plans to improve socially significant behaviors under the supervision of the Teacher and Building Principal/Special Education Director.Incorporates specific educational objectives into the context of on-going activities, as appropriateFacilitates opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skillsCommunicates with students parents via communication logMaintains a student notebook in a neat and orderly mannerMaintains student specific materials and reinforcersSchedules activities as directedReviews progress on IEP goalsParticipates in writing students progress reportsUpdates students guidelinesDiscusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids such as bibliographies, charts, and graphs.Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing.Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.May need assistance with toileting and liftingStudent may have behavior issues, medical conditions, work completion, elopement risks, aggression, and need de-escalation.Reliable and consistent attendanceHelp facilitate communication and social emotional skills.Other duties as assigned.
