Work-Rite Ltd is NZ’s market leader in external Insurance investigations. 

With a current team of 14 licensed private investigators located throughout NZ, we provide professional investigation and related services to the leading insurance companies in NZ. 

Due to our rapid growth within the industry, an exciting leadership opportunity has arisen as our Investigations Team Leader.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Directors, your primary role will be to deliver direction and support to our existing investigations team. These responsibilities will include:

• Utilise your in-depth technical knowledge to assist the investigations team with all forms of investigations and act as referral point for team members.
• Supporting and mentoring our investigators on technical and complex matters as required.
• Working collaboratively within the team to pro-actively identify, surface and process key evidence for each investigation to provide an accurate and succinct investigation report.
• Identifying and implementing strategies to minimize investigation cost and leakage, and actively participating in and promoting the risk management culture within the team
• Contribute to the development and implementation our business policies, procedures, and strategies .
• Have a solid understanding of insurance products as they relate to our client’s policy packages and the current industry standards.
• Establish and develop relationships with our key third-party providers to strengthen and develop our partnerships.
• Support and lead the team to deliver a high level of service to both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Building strong and meaningful client and stakeholder relationships by demonstrating positive lines of communication.
• Ensure key business and reporting metrics are met. 

 About you: 

As an experienced leader within the insurance industry, you will be customer centric focused and:

• Currently hold or being willing to obtain a Private Investigators License
• Have extensive knowledge of insurance industry and the claims process.
• High level experience and understanding of the investigations process.
• Previous Insurance, investigation and/or team leadership qualifications / experience will be considered priority. 
• Show strength in collaboration and supporting other viewpoints – a team player
• Have strong organisational and communication skills
• Have the ability to analyse, review and provide pragmatic feedback to the investigators
• Work in tandem with the existing management team and be the “hands on” leader of the investigations team
• Building strong and meaningful client and stakeholder relationships by ensuring positive lines of communication 
• Provide a strong customer service focus and maintain effective relationships with our client network 
• Review current processes and provide feedback to optimise efficiency and compliance with required standards
• Be responsible for ongoing investigations management and processes
• Have the ability to set and achieve growth targets.
• Have a strong eye for detail and exceptional problem-solving skills
• Be an excellent communicator
