About the Team

We are looking for an experienced UI developer who is proficient with Typescript and React.js and has a high attention to detail, to join the Workday Adaptive Planning product team, based in Brisbane, Australia. Your primary focus will be on developing the data visualization, analytics and dashboarding features of the product suite along with our internal React.js component library. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will also be focused on rolling out the adoption of our internal React.js component library into the various applications within our suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data visualization, analytics and dashboarding features of the product suite

• Design and develop React based UI components for highly interactive user experience

• Replace legacy components with new React components

• Collaborate with UX design team to drive for the best possible end-user experience

• Optimize front-end applications for speed, scalability & reuse

• Contribute to the improvement of the team’s engineering excellence

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience developing commercial web applications

• Experience with modern front end web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, CSS, SCSS, HTML, Webpack/Babel, npm, etc.

Other Qualifications

• Self directed and highly motivated

• Deep understanding of code design and architecture

• Strong debugging skills across all major browsers

• Experience working in large JavaScript codebases, and keeping the code testable, tested, modular, and loosely coupled

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Software Engineering or equivalent

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Passionate about developing modern UI

• Knowledge of BI/analytics/visualization/dashboarding principles and products

• Working in a SCRUM team
