Your role as a Site Reliability Engineer
Bring to WorkJam your experience with site reliability and incident management. Work with teams to improve education, diagnose issues, and perform root-cause analysis. You are an engineer, a communicator, a team player … you need to have experience with distributed services, on-call support, and working with teams.

What you will be doing: *

• Writing, updating, and using documentation, including runbooks/playbooks
• Educate and empower service teams to think operationally, and for maintenance
• Organize, develop, and enhance monitoring, alerting, and testing processes
• Build resilient and self-scaling systems
• Rotating on-call, triage, and communication duties
• Debug problems, provide clear diagnosis, and resolve with solid solutions
• Work closely with multiple teams to perform root-cause analysis
• Technologies include: Java, Node.js, Golang, shell, Kubernetes, Docker, Cassandra, Postgresql, Elasticsearch, Nginx, Terraform/HCL, Harness

• Experience with site reliability, devops engineering
• Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and on-call
• Experience working with containers, operating systems, networks, cloud providers
• History of working distributed systems, concurrent computing, root-cause analysis
• History of working with teams in an cloud-based environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
