WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Estimator to be located in any one of our New York , New Jersey , or Pennsylvania offices.

Your Impact
Prepares work to be estimated by gathering drawings, specifications, and related documents for various disciplines.
Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
5+ years related experience in cost estimating and preparing Cost Engineering products for USACE and/or other Federal Government agencies
A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering), Construction Management, or related
Demonstrated skill/experience in development of Conceptual through Bid Document crew-based or unit price cost estimates
Strong knowledge of MCACES (MII) cost estimating software
Strong knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff software and MS Office applications.
Able to read plans and develop cost estimates
Strong understanding of construction processes
Able to demonstrate progressively-increasing responsibility in estimating, working effectively with minimal supervision.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge in use of HCSS HeavyBid, Sage Timberline, and/or other estimating software applications
Construction contractor estimating experience
