Position Summary
The Sr. IT Portfolio Analyst is responsible for owning and operating a set of IT business processes. They will work cross-organizationally to ensure their processes are lean, valuable to users and to the organization, and compliant. They will support the budget and expenses relating to their process or service, including forecasting and variance explanation activities. This person will be a key contributor in the management of the IT Department, ensuring that Xcel Energy optimizes their processes and services, and drives benefit and compliance across the enterprise. They will provide proactive internal compliance reviews to assess any potential risks. They provide first-level support in the event of any support or audit pertaining to their process or service(s).

Essential Responsibilities

• Service Lifecycle: Manage intake of process requests. Process requests in a timely manner and provide high service levels to customers. Track and report performance of the process. Provide reporting to leaders to ensure awareness of volume, efficiency, and ultimately value of the process.
• Operations: Responsible for forecasting costs and providing expense variance explanations. Works with leaders and stakeholders to establish budget for needed costs, and continuously seek ways to reduce cost. Reviews and renews related contract/maintenance agreements in a timely manner. Monitors related contracts for compliance.
• Relationship Management: Serves as the initial and ongoing contact with customers and vendors/providers on process initiation and any subsequent issues. Is the primary contact for compliance and audit reviews of the process. Works closely with other organizations as needed to support and continuously improve their respective processes and services.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or years of experience equivalent to the position.

  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience is also acceptable: Associate’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED AND 11+ years of experience.

• Five years of related functional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated project, product or process management skills.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledgeable regarding Application Lifecycle Management.
• Strong communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
• Strong Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.

Preferred Requirements

• 1+ year of PowerBI experience
• 1+ year of ServiceNow experience
• 1+ year of SharePoint, Nintex, and MS Flow
• 5+ years of project management experience

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $79,000 to $113,000 per year
