The Role
Our mission is to build the digital infrastructure for Southeast Asia, supporting customers from fast growing startups to multinational enterprises such as Lazada, Samsung, Traveloka and Allianz.
As part of Xendit, your mission is to build a complete solution for platform integration, such as e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to build and maintain high quality systems
- Coordinate with PMs and QAs on the timeframe for release of new features
- Work closely with PMs to:
- Build customer-oriented products
- Plan roadmaps for the next 3-6 months
- Manage existing tech debt
- Lead scrum ceremonies (stand ups, grooming, retrospective)
- Identify risks and form contingency plans
- Manage team morale
- Work together with engineering managers to deliver organizational engineering direction
- Plan for resourcing as needed by the team
- Manage team level documentation
- Manage career growth of the engineers of the team
- Identify, resolve, and improve toil and issues encountered
- Coordinate with internal teams
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed

- Experienced in software engineering and designing high quality systems
- Experience in leading and managing a high-paced team

Relevant Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in Technical Lead/ Team Lead/Senior Full Stack engineer role
- Experienced with front end tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React JS, Redux
- Demonstrated working experience of NodeJS, TypeScript, Web Services (RESTful), SQL/PostgreSQL and publish-subscribe design patterns
- Hands-on experience in DevOps on AWS, Docker/K8s etc
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database schema design and query optimization
- Experience with unit, integration, and E2E test frameworks such as jest, mocha, supertest, and cucumber
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Hands-on technical experience on building and maintaining cloud based app, using CI/CD platforms, monitoring and logging tools
- Strong understanding of software engineering and architecting principles
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
