About the role In this role
You will develop software for mobile products on the iOS Development platform. You’ll continually drive delivery and continuous product improvement. You will be joining our cross functional, platform focused mobile team at Xero. We are a tightly knit team that is passionate about what we deliver. We engage fully in our product at the research, discovery, prototyping, implementation and end of life phases. We see ourselves as the foundation that our product teams build upon.
What you’ll do
Operate as part of our team to prototype, build, and uphold platform and application layer tooling to support product teams.
Identify opportunities in current technology/architecture and recommend solutions.Providing constructive input into architectural decisions for new features.Providing technical guidance to other developers.Staying up to date with iOS mobile development technologies, and identify and promote opportunities to make use of these technologies within the mobile team.
What you’ll bring
A passion for mobile engineering and the wider mobile community.
Experience with mobile application design and development best practices.
A natural desire to share knowledge, coach, and mentor team members.
Experience delivering software in a modern agile environment.
Growth mindset and not afraid of a #ChallengeEnd-to-end experience and interest that extends beyond mobile to platform, devops and the back-end is a plus
Experience
Experience and appreciation of how Agile and modern DevOps topology principles enable software teams to deliver value to customers effectively.
A growth mindset and excitement about tackling the next challenge with your team.
A collaborative approach to delivery where you work closely with other Developers, Product Owners, and other Xero engineering enablement teams.
