Xiaomi Technology Looking for Government Relations Manager, LATAM Region(H5607) at Área metropolitana de Ciudad de México Full Time

Responsibilities:

– Design and implement targeted government affairs strategies and approaches in the complex external environment.

– Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with governments, parliaments, NGOs, associations and think tanks to gain the support from key policymakers, regulators and influencers.

– Coordinate closely with all internal functions to ensure successful and efficient operations in LATAM markets.

– Monitor, research and report opportunities, challenges and risks regarding politics, policies, regulations and government affairs environment that may affect Xiaomi operation, current or future.

– Collaborate to develop and/or attend activities and meetings to strengthen Xiaomi positions, reputations and influence in front of governments and public sectors

– Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

– Minimum 5 years’ experience in government, and/or in government affairs functions with a renowned multinational corporation, consulting firm, law firm, industrial association, etc.

– Proven experience of working directly with LATAM policymakers and regulators.

– Strong working knowledge of smartphone, AIoT and Internet industry and regulatory landscape.

– Strategic thinker with leadership, outreach, analytical and negotiation skills.

– Ability to manage multiple projects and to work collaboratively across different teams (internal and external) in a cross-cultural environment.

– Ability to work as a proactive self-starter that demonstrates initiative and creativity.

– Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

– Fluent in Spanish and English.

– Bachelor degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration or related fields required; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
