Role Description

This is a newly created role and a great opportunity for a recent graduate to make a real difference at Yashili. In collaboration with Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), this role will focus on energy management, energy efficiency, process improvement, assessing new technologies and creating long term energy strategy that supports Yashili aspirations to be a market leader in sustainability.  

Main Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the Yashili Energy Management Plan and energy programme
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships and networks with key stakeholders (internal and external to the organisation) to assist with energy programme delivery
• Identify, measure and help reduce energy consumption and energy costs across the business.
• Support performance monitoring, data management and reporting activities for the Yashili Energy Management Plan, including regular reporting.
• Actively work with Business Units to review and improve energy data management systems, procedures and reporting across the Yashili business
• Assist in creating the Yashili ‘energy pipeline’ by identifying and recommending energy improvement/transition opportunities across the business
• Provide support for Business Units to help them with reducing energy use and reporting performance, including identifying and evaluating potential energy efficiency initiatives and undertaking energy related projects.
• Assist the team with building business cases for CAPEX projects  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Science related discipline or a related field
• Knowledge of energy management, energy systems, and renewable energy sources
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent data management, reporting and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written
• Bring fresh thinking and demonstrate drive for continuous improvement
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment
• A high level of computer skills (MSOffice essential; Basic programming)
• A strong willingness to learn
