YMCA Taranaki is a non-profit organisation with a vision to building strong tamariki, whanau and communities and is looking for a part time Accountant to be part of our community organisation.

The successful person requires the following skills and attributes:

· Has a relevant qualification or equivalent work experience.

· Full understanding of the accountancy process.

· Experienced with creating and analysing financial statements and management reporting.

· Experienced with general ledger functions and the month end/year end close process.

· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

· Ability to work to deadlines and the ability to work in a logical and orderly manner.

· Awareness of business trends.

· Well organised with the ability to maintain excellent records.

· Ability to work undirected and to timetable work around scheduled board meetings.

· Strong communication skills.

· Knowledge of non-profit and childcare organisations preferred.

· Experience in Accredo Accounting Software preferred.
