Education:
Must hold and maintain a valid Class ‘F’ license or greater and have a good driving record. The successful candidate must provide proof of a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory Driver Record prior to being hired.
Experience:
A minimum of two years’ recent experience (as defined within the last 5 years) in driving larger trucks, trailers and/or operating tractors, moving heavy furniture, equipment or other related items is required.
Skills:
Must be able to safely and efficiently lift and load large heavy materials (eg. office furniture), safely operate large trucks/trailers. Respects diversity and promotes inclusion in the workplace, contributes to an inclusive and diverse team-based, positive work environment. Recognizes diversity of abilities and adapt content, tone, medium, and style to audience to be inclusive. Committed to continuous learning and skill building in diversity, inclusive and cultural competence. Must have demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English as the incumbent receives and conveys messages by radio telephone which are installed in our vehicles. Any applicant for this position must satisfactorily complete a practical test pertaining to the job duties.
