The Opportunity

You will be part of a small group of excellent and highly effective engineers that are working on building new features, maintaining existing systems as well as system integration and modernisation initiatives.

Please note our head office is based in Sippy Downs, Sunshine Coast, however this role can be based remotely in Australia.

About you

• You are an amazing, passionate, and experienced UniVerse Software Engineer with a great record of accomplishment working within collaborative and high-performing software development teams.
• You can identify trade-offs and make pragmatic choices between ‘perfect’ solutions and fit for purpose solutions.
• Good analytical and conceptual skills combined with an ability to think outside of the box to solve problems.
• Attention to detail with advanced organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
• You work well in team settings.
• You take ownership of solving problems and pride yourself on your confidence and initiative.
• You ‘get’ agile and feel comfortable giving input on team processes.
• We would love someone who is a zealous learner, a lateral thinker, pragmatic about solving problems and dedicated to delivering value.
• Be motivated to learn new development patterns, languages, and technologies.
• Have an outcome-based mindset.

Your experience

• Experience in a Pick (UniVerse and/or UniData) environment in a hands-on software developer role.
• Experience in Lean & Agile development methodologies.
• Ideally have experience with TDD (Test Driven Development).
• Demonstrated experience in working closely with multiple stakeholders and delivery teams (Business and IT).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interact with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
