Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Surface Prep Specialist located in Auckland, with flexibility for some remote work. The Surface Prep Specialist operates and maintains surface preparation equipment including shot blasters, diamond grinders, and other surface preparation. The Surface Prep Specialist works closely with the sales team and myself to ensure customer satisfaction and may also conduct on-site equipment demonstrations and product training sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and maintaining Concrete Grinders, Shot Blasters, ride on flooring uplifting machinery and coatings mixers
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coatings application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety in the workplace
• Experience working in a similar role and knowledge of construction, hire, and coatings industries is preferred but not required
• Relevant certifications in surface preparation and coatings application is preferred but not required
• Understanding Husqvarna Polished Concrete Floor systems a big advantage
