Youth Inspire Looking for at Lower Hutt, Wellington Full Time

We are looking for a full time Pacific Youth Advisor in Lower Hutt. This is a permanent position, you will be part of the team delivering the Youth Employability Programme, and creating opportunities for Pacific youth by supporting them into work experience, employment and education.

About us:

Youth Inspire is a not-for-profit trust that provides meaningful and successful pathways into education, training and employment for young people in the Hutt Valley. Our vision is “rangatahi mai ki te rangatira” (our youth our future). We teach employability skills, provide work experience, and create opportunities for rangatahi to get a job and keep a job. Our Road Ready Rangatahi driving school helps youth gain their driver licence, which is an essential qualification for a job.

• Shows strong relatability to Pacific youth in Hutt Valley communities
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven and highly motivated to create positive impact for Pacific youth
• Understands the support required to transition youth into the workforce
• Confident facilitating groups to teach ‘work ready’ skills
• A full clean driver licence

Applicants must be able to pass Police vetting checks and have the right to work in New Zealand.
