Yukon Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board (YWCHSB) prevents disability in a number of ways. We work towards changing societal attitudes on safety and risk management by communicating strategically, and engaging in social marketing, to embrace the belief that all injuries can be prevented. We strive to reduce the incidence of work-related injuries in the Yukon workplaces through prevention support, compliance and enforcement strategies. And when injuries do occur, we provide proactive, innovative and compassionate return-to-work programs, medical management and, if required, vocational rehabilitation.
Reporting to the President/CEO, the Executive Assistant is responsible for providing executive level support to the President and the Executive Committee. The incumbent manages the office of the President; oversees the provision of administrative support; provides research, project management and issue resolution support on executive initiatives; prepares briefings, reports, analysis and other materials for the President and Executive Committee, as well as for submission to the Board of Directors. The Executive Assistant would represent the President on projects and other initiatives as delegated.
As the ideal candidate you are interested in working in a challenging, fast paced environment where timelines are critical. Accuracy and paying attention to the details is important to you. You are confident and you show tact and diplomacy when dealing with a variety of people. You have a strong work ethic and you have excellent computer skills, complemented by excellent written and oral communication skills. You are able to work effectively alone or in a team environment and you are able to manage a large workload with frequent interruptions while continuing to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good initiative, excellent senior level administrative and interpersonal skills; and exercises diplomacy and confidentiality in their day-to-day work.
