The Executive Council Office is the centre of excellence for the Government of Yukon. We are leaders in the modernization of government standards and processes. We provide central strategic advice to advance government priorities through policy development, communications, intergovernmental relations, Indigenous relations, major project management, youth initiatives, Indigenous and scientific knowledge and by supporting the Water Board and the Commissioner’s Office. We also provide direct support to the Premier and Cabinet.

The opportunity…
The Executive Council Office is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who approaches problem-solving collaboratively, respects diverse perspectives and demonstrates commitment to professionalism through leadership, dedication and integrity.
This position is responsible for providing executive level support and assistance to two Assistant Deputy Ministers (Strategic Corporate Services and Intergovernmental Relations & Corporate Programs) in their roles as division team leaders, as members of the department senior management team, and their role of direct support to Cabinet, the Deputy Minister and Yukon government departments.

Coursework in office administration or related field
Significant experience providing executive level support services
Research assistance and project management experience
Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including word-processing, databases and internet
Financial management training or experience will be considered an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
