The Executive Council Office is the centre of excellence for the Government of Yukon. We are leaders in the modernization of government standards and processes. We provide central strategic advice to advance government priorities through policy development, communications, intergovernmental relations, Indigenous relations, major project management, youth initiatives, Indigenous and scientific knowledge and by supporting the Water Board and the Commissioner’s Office. We also provide direct support to the Premier and Cabinet.

The opportunity…
The Executive Council Office is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who approaches problem-solving collaboratively, respects diverse perspectives and demonstrates commitment to professionalism through leadership, dedication and integrity.
As a key player of the Intergovernmental Relations Branch team, you will demonstrate a high level of tact and diplomacy and commitment to customer service. Your excellent attention to details and organizational and project management skills will assist you when providing executive senior level support services, research assistance, records management (both paper and electronic), website management and other services to the Director of Intergovernmental Relations and unit staff. Your ability to work independently to coordinate the work of the IGR branch across departments and with other governments on intergovernmental issues and provide logistical support and meeting coordination, will be essential in this position.

Coursework in office administration or related field
Significant experience providing executive level support services
Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality
Research assistance and project management experience
Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including word-processing, databases and internet
Financial management training or experience will be considered an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
