Our mission is to offer customers legal access to a variety of liquor and cannabis products while considering the wellbeing and economic prosperity of the territory. The Corporation’s branches work to support Yukon’s food and beverage industry, cannabis market, and local liquor producers through a range of programs and services. We continuously evolve our business structure to improve the way we operate our Whitehorse Liquor Store, central warehouse and five rural community Liquor Stores in Dawson City, Faro, Haines Junction, Mayo, and Watson Lake. Reporting to the Director of Policy and Communications, the Communications Analyst ensures the strategic use of communications channels to meet the Corporation’s objectives. The role is responsible for communicating the Yukon Liquor Corporation’s key messages in a clear, engaging, and timely manner.

Post-secondary coursework in communications, journalism or related discipline;
Experience developing and implementing communications strategies;
Experience with researching, writing, and producing a wide variety of communications tools, which may include news releases, ad campaigns, and web content;
Experience with pro-active media relations;
Experience working with content management software (e.g. Drupal or SharePoint) would be an asset;
Experience with social media and public engagement campaigns would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
