This opportunity…
The Shipper Receiver is responsible for processing and packaging items for shipment and receiving incoming merchandise for warehouse storage or distribution. This position ensures the orderly identification, storage, distribution and shipment of parts and materials from vendors and shipping companies to various maintenance camps throughout the Yukon.
The Shipper Receiver undertakes other various functions to contribute to the effective operation of the warehouse such as liaising with the Inventory Controller to update inventory records. This position also directs the daily activities of the Parts Labourer.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):
Experience in the shipping/receiving functions in an industrial or mechanical parts warehouse
Experience preparing shipments containing dangerous goods for transport
Experience using various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.
Experience operating a forklift
Experience identifying mechanical parts and materials
Experience in a computerized purchasing and/or inventory environment

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability (what candidates will be assessed on):
Familiarity with mechanical and industrial parts and materials
Experience dealing with industrial shipping/receiving, warehousing and safe and efficient material storage, distribution and documentation
Self-motivated, organized, and committed to the job
Able to work independently and willing to work to contribute to the team environment
Safety orientated
Conditions of Employment
Transportation Dangerous Goods Certificate and IATA certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire), Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license
Job Requirements
Ability to lift objects up to 45 kg, work in adverse weather conditions, mandatory use of personal protective equipment
