The role
As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment as well as leading the site engineering team and managing R&M budgets. The role covers all buildings, plant and grounds at this South Auckland site, while providing support to a secondary facility.
Your time will be split between developing improvement strategies and overseeing day to day maintenance activities. This will include identifying and implementing initiatives to improve plant reliability, developing asset care and critical spares strategies and leading capital projects from concept to delivery. But – you are still a hands-on Engineer who is happy to roll your sleeves up and lend your team a hand when push comes to shove.

Skills and attributes
We seek:
- A relevant engineering qualification or trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Process Control) is a must.
- Ten years’ experience as an Engineering Manager or Supervisor within the food (or similar) manufacturing environment.
- A proven track record managing end-to-end capital projects.
- Maintenance planning and spare part management experience.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to identify, train and retain talent.
- Proven ability to implement and drive change.
