YYC3 INC. Looking for Social Media Marketing at Calgary, AB Full Time

WE’RE CONTENT CREATORS, CONNECTION BUILDERS, AND COMMUNITY MANAGERS

We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, organized, creative, loves social media, and has a keen eye for detail to join our team as a Social Media Coordinator. In this role, you will wear many hats as a member of a virtual marketing department for numerous clients. You will come up with fresh ideas tailored to client brands and voices, create visual content, write the copy, schedule the posts, respond to comments, sell in the DM’s, and grow client accounts.

While it’s important you have a passion for social media and know the fundamentals, your manager will provide direction, feedback, approvals, create content with you, and teach you many new tricks and tactics to uplevel your skills.

As a small team, we have a fast-paced environment where we turn out high-quality work quickly. The right candidate must have previous experience managing social media accounts for businesses and know what it takes to GROW an account.

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent professional communication, verbal and written. You should be a formatting nerd who loves to create in the most visually appealing and easy-to-consume way, with perfect spelling and grammar, and a broad vocabulary.
• Self-motivated and passionate about social media, as you will work independently and in social platforms all day, everyday. You will be expected to offer continuous new ideas and know what’s trending on various platforms, in design styles, in pop culture, and the local news to incorporate into our content.
• You must be resourceful and a problem-solver with good judgment, knowing when to Google how to do something vs. ask your manager.
• You must be very comfortable speaking up and asking questions, as well as strong and secure in professional self with the ability to take blunt feedback and move forward positively. (Our clients are always right, even when they’re not.)

EXAMPLE DAY IN THE ROLE

• Check your emails and slack, and add new items to list, adjust priorities for day if necessary
• Check notifications on each platform, for each client, respond to, flag for later, or delegate to another team member
• Check content calendar for that day and that all posts have gone out as scheduled, or live post if needed (we live post reels and stories)
• Check content calendar for the rest of the week and month to ensure graphics are made, captions are written and approved, and posts are scheduled.
• Content should always be labelled and filed in Canva and Google Drive as you go. Organization is very, very, very important. If you have a messy desktop, this role is probably NOT for you.
• When a full month is made, scheduled, etc. you start to work on the next month… Our typical pace is 5-6 weeks ahead.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

• Operational phone and laptop. Apple products preferred (as rest of the team is Mac) but not necessary.

APPS & SOFTWARE REQUIRED

• MUST be able to create amazing content in Canva
• MUST have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok experience and know these platforms in and out
• MUST be able to use Slack and Google Drive for communication and organization
• Facebook Ads experience an asset
• Video editing experience an asset

SCHEDULE

• Set your own hours, remote work, with one weekly video meeting with your manager
• If you live in Calgary, our local team likes to get together for work sessions or happy hours every now and then and we’d love you to join us
