ZAAS Hiring for Mold Maker at Redlands, CA Full Time

Authority:
Authority to suspend tooling release to production where safety of personnel or equipment is in question.

It is important that the person filling this position have knowledge of equipment including flushing drill machine, CNC machine, EDM machine, lathe, mill, supply welder, bead blaster, band saw, pantograph and various grinder machines.

Personal qualifications for an ideal Mold Maker would be ability, self-motivated, requiring little or no supervision, excellent communication skills and have an aptitude for learning new tasks in a fast paced environment. Must work well with others and have a teamwork mentality.Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor, Operations Manager and/or President

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Lay out, machines fit, assemble, and finish metal parts to make or repair molds for injection molding of plastic parts.
Studies drawings/CAD files of product and mold, and computes specifications.
Plans sequencing of operations.
Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock to layout for machining.
Verifies dimensions as specified.
Executes activities of assigned projects to ensure completion per the delivery schedule.
Provides all basic machining operations from mold base and detailed prints/electronic files.
Monitors customers’ requirements and specifications ensuring that they are clearly identified and complied with.
Complies with all safety and housekeeping standards.
Maintains mold repair/modification records in Filemaker.
Other Tasks or Duties As assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

Experience:

• CNC machines and grinder machines: 5 years (Required)
• Plastics injection molding: 5 years (Required)
• lathe, supply welder, bead blaster, band saw, pantograph: 5 years (Required)
