ZEIL Looking for Back-end Developer at Eden Terrace, Auckland Full Time

Position Summary

You must have taken key development roles in building solutions for large clients and be able to deliver effectively under pressure in an Agile environment. You may already be a senior developer or an intermediate with great skills. You will be someone who takes ownership and pride in playing a crucial role in client outcomes. As a team player in an Agile environment, you should have proven ability to focus on completing projects autonomously.

The Position

As a frontend developer or full stack developer, you will be involved in requirements, solution design, development and support of the frontend system.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enhance the functionality of ZEIL solutions.
• Quickly learn existing architecture and functionality.
• Work across the full SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing, evaluation and support
• Effective problem-solving and issue resolution. 
• Communicate clearly with business users and project team.
• Assist in automation, deployment, and monitoring of the software (CI/CD).
• Analyse business requirements and estimation of development efforts. 

   

Minimum requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in backend development or full stack development.
• Experience in the following technologies:
  • Flutter
  • Web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript/TypeScript, JQuery etc)
  • REST API, Json
  • Firebase
  • Figma (or equivalent)
• An aptitude to learn and take on new challenges
• Comfortable with working in a dynamic team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A self-motivated, adaptable self-starter with a “can do” attitude
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.

Experience in the following technologies (useful)

• Other Mobile development (e.g. React Native, Xamarin)
• Templating technologies (e.g. Handlebars)
• CMS development (e.g. Umbraco)
• Relational databases and/or Graph DB (e.g. PostgreSql or similar)
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) 
• Python / C#.Net
