Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely vessel turnaround and assisting the principal’s planning team
• Vessel operational reporting to stakeholders. Monitoring of vessels utilization
• OOG, Breakbulk, COD requests, container tracking updates
• Ensuring that import and transshipment of hazardous cargo are lodged accordingly
• Performing general port operation tasks and processing invoices
• Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders 
• Coach Operations Assistant to achieve Vessel Operations objectives and achieve growth in the role

Who we are looking for

• Previous experience in vessel operations
• At least 3 years’ experience in the shipping or cargo logistics industry is preferred
• High level of computer literacy/ Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
• Previous experience with import/export shipping, market and Customs processes is preferred
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken
• Ability to work towards a deadline
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous experience with IQ Ship operating system (desirable)
