As part of our global expansion, we recently established our office here in Gold Coast to support our current customers and grow our APAC customer base.

Overview

Applicants located in Gold Coast or who are able to commute 2-3 days per week to collaborate in-person with the Zonos AU team a plus but remote applicants are also welcomed to apply.

Zonos is looking for a mid-level front-end engineer with deep experience in Javascript and ReactJS, who is driven to produce and ship high-quality software solutions.

What you will do…

• Help a world-class Engineering Team with a web app dashboard that adjusts plugin settings, creates shipping labels, and shows financial reports.
• Identify and fix bugs found through quality assurance and customer success.
• Explore new tools in the Node and ReactJS ecosystem to solve tricky problems.
• Maintain a complex codebase
• Review others code and respectfully offer suggestions
• Collaborate in updating a coding style guide
• Thoroughly perform quality assurance testing on your code and others to limit downtime
• Continually learn and suggest new innovations
• Communicate pitfalls early to avoid unnecessary project delays
• Work with prospective Front-end software engineers to help them level up

You could be a strong addition to the team if you…

• Have 2 – 3 years of experience in ReactJS building a scalable web app.
• Thoroughly understand semantic HTML5, CSS3, and web standards.
• Work with CSS pre-processors such as LESS, SASS or PostCSS.
• Have strong experience in unit testing and code coverage principles and tools.
• Are experienced with ECMAScript (ES6, ES7, ES8, ES9).
• Have experience using build system tools such as Gulp, Grunt, npm, Webpack.
• Have a deep understanding of ReactJS, Node.js, and their core principles.
• Are experienced working with IDEs such as VS Code.
• Are familiar with DevOps practices and tools, covering:
  • Code versioning – Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
  • Container technologies – Docker, Kubernetes
  • CICD, e.g. Jenkins
• Have experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
• Have a good understanding of agile methodologies.
• Earned a BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent experience (this is a plus).
