Actuarial Analyst II, LOB Reserving

Zurich North America is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our LOB Reserving team in support of our General Liability (GL) Line of Business based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
As a General Liability Actuarial Analyst, you will participate in quarterly reserve studies, rate monitor aggregation, analyze and provide data for reinsurance, assist in the creation and maintenance of automation for actuarial reports and tools, as well as enhancing the functionality of internally developed tools. You will also be part of a company and team focused on innovation and simplification in every aspect of their work.
LOB Reserving is a key player in all aspects of Finance Actuarial work products, with particular focus on reserve analysis, regulatory reporting, financial close (monthly, quarterly, and yearly), and rate monitoring. We approach all aspects of our work with a continuous improvement mindset.
Basic Qualifications:
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates DegreeOR
Bachelor’s DegreeAND
Successful completion of 5 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 2 or more years of experience in the Actuarial areaOR
Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial exams (applicable to FCAS designation or equivalent international certification) with 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area
Preferred Qualifications:
ACAS
Experience with programming languages such as VBA, SQL, Alteryx, R, and Business Objects
Property & Casualty insurance experience
Commercial insurance experience
