Zurich North America is currently hiring a Reinsurance Financial Manager and this person can either work out of our North America HQ in Schaumburg, IL OR remotely for the right person. This person will report to a VP of Group Reinsurance Finance.

The Reinsurance Financial Manager is responsible for managing a team that is accountable for casualty treaties including reviewing contracts, preparing calculations, recording ceded premium/losses, billing and collection. In addition, this team is responsible for treaty planning and administration of the Accounts Payable/Receivable premium subledger system.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 6 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance area within the Insurance industry OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance area within the Insurance industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA / CPCU / CFA / CTP

• People management experience

• Advanced knowledge of reinsurance contracts

• Advanced knowledge of reinsurance claims recoverable process and link to direct claim processing

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience

• Technology experience related to one or more of the following areas: General ledger, financial reporting systems, Business Objects or other query tools

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
