Zurich is currently searching for a Senior Security Consultant to work in our Information Security team reporting to the ZNA Chief Information Security Officer out of our Zurich North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
The Senior Security Consultant drives IT risk reduction, security, and compliance while ensuring that IT supports the business objectives of the group. This role will oversee the vulnerability management program which includes patch management, firewall policy review and exception management. Provide security subject matter expertise and guidance to help reduce risk in the environment to align with IT strategy.
The ideal candidate has prior hands-on experience in the area of patching, vulnerability management, firewall management, and networking.
Additional responsibilities will include conducting vendor and internal risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations such as NYDFS.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Security areaOR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Data Security areaAND
Experience working across business units and/or geographic boundaries
Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP or other technical security or IT systems certificationsStrong knowledge of information security concepts and security trends and practices
Experience with Vulnerability Management tools (Qualys / Nexpose / Nessus)
Experience with operating system and application patching
Understanding of networks
Experience with reviewing policies and assessment of risk of firewalls
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills using Access and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work across business units and geographical boundaries to engage team members
Experience with IT security risk assessments, vendor management and audits
Experience with leading projects, engaging stakeholders, and driving stakeholder management
Experience with governance, risk, and compliance
