The opportunity

Do you want to be part of the team designing upgrades to airborne and ground-based Command and Controls systems in service with the ADF?

Boeing Defence Australia’s (BDA) is currently looking for conscientious Senior Software Engineers. Working within the Mission Systems and Ground Systems Capability, you will be an integral contributor to the future of Boeing Software Engineering through the application of modern-day software development practices.

Working in the role you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, implement and integrate software components into fully functional hardware/software systems
• Be a role model for best practice and continuous improvement of software engineering, including peer reviews and applying engineering authority (EA)
• Play a lead role in software design for Mission Systems products
• Work as part of a team contributing to the integration of new system features and defect resolution

We’d love if you have experience in a range of software engineering fields where you’ve had exposure to various object-oriented languages (e.g. Java/C++), secure programming practices and a passion for Agile/DevSecOps.

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Software), Information Technology (or complementary degrees) will allow you to grasp concepts and thrive in the Find A Way culture.
