The Data Governance Analyst will develop procedures to support the accuracy, security, and integrity of MuleSoft’s Data. They will help maintain best practices regarding data access. Provide expertise, guidance, and support in establishing, operationalizing and sustaining a data governance program that identifies, defines, manages and publishes data standards and policies In collaboration with Business Ops Team Members, the Product Team and other team members establish the appropriate protocols for keeping data, develop tools and methods for MuleSoft to oversee our data. Provide management with recommendations about how to best govern the use of an access to the information. Experience with database languages such as SQL, SOSL, in addition to analytical problem-solving skills.
Assist with the development of the data governance strategy in alignment with the overall data standards for the organization
Create and monitor program metrics and dashboard reporting for review and presentation
Reporting data analysis findings to the Business Ops Team to inform business decisions and prioritize governance needs
Stay abreast of developments and trends in Data Governance
Work with the business to identify to evaluate data quality standards
Document the business process flows, business rules and data flow of data elements within Salesforce.
Serve as liaison with Data/Technology teams to apply data security/compliance requirements in MuleSoft data warehouse
Perform periodic audit on data security/compliance in MuleSoft Data Warehouse
Develop detailed knowledge of our data, data flows and processes
Evaluate new data sources and onboarding of the data against the governance framework
Actively solicit feedback from stakeholders on data governance solutions
3 + years experience directly related to the development and maintenance of data Governance/Data Quality.
Solid understanding of data issues that impact user experience and remediations that need to be implemented to resolve data issues, via business processes and technical capabilities
Relationship-drive with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals
Hands-on experience in data quality, data profiling and data analysis
Ability to establish relationships across the MuleSoft and Salesforce
Strong analytical background with the ability to identify, and communicate business risks associated with data quality
Technical knowledge and experience in data management, data quality and data governance
Experience with data classification, data labeling and data access control
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience with build flow diagrams/architecture diagrams
Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment nad produce results
Knowledge of GDPR and Personal Information Privacy Laws
Proficiency in data modeling, data mining and data optimization
Demonstrated experience communicating metadata (data dictionary data lineage)
Experience with Python, APEX and/or R a plus
COMPOSURE: Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills with complex engagements
EXPERTISE: Working knowledge of industry best practices and implementation experience of the salesforce product suite
CREDIBILITY: Able to interact with various levels of an organization both technical and non-technical to discuss comprehensive solutions
