The Salesforce.org Marketing Operations team is the bridge between cross functional teams including Corporate Marketing & Communications, Sales, Product Marketing, and Sales Strategy. We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Cloud System Developer/Admin who will seek to understand the strategic priorities of Email Marketers, translate that to our long range enhancement roadmap, and work alongside Business Analysts and to enhance our Marketing Cloud instance for our internal stakeholders.
The Salesforce.org Marketing Operations team works closely with Salesforce Marketing Technology teams to leverage and continue to revolutionize Marketing Operations, adopting or adapting standards to improve efficiency and mROI.
The ideal candidate may have Salesforce Marketing Cloud services, or a related Partner / Consultancy background. They should be known to work independently, thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, communicate tactfully, work with business operations and effectively design, test, and deploy software solutions. We’re keen to find a team member having strong stakeholder management experience who enjoys driving issues to a concrete resolution. Must be an excellent communicator who can tailor their delivery to a variety of audiences. Finally, as with all MOPS team members, you’ll raise our team’s game by making and executing ongoing recommendations to implement new tools and approaches – our model needs to scale with the pace of change in Salesforce.org Marketing Ops, and Salesforce in general.

Primary Responsibilities:
A leader defining and developing the Marketing Cloud enhancement roadmap; with a focus on aligning development enhancements in support of strategic priorities while managing future state and steering changes
Serves as lead product adviser & reviewer to other Operations stakeholders; translates Marketing Cloud capabilities to build and leverage Marketing Cloud features in support of our prioritized roadmap
Collaborates with IT, Marketing Ops, and Product teams; troubleshoots system errors, provides user support, and helps inform product enhancement requests
A driver of compelling communication and reporting of our Marketing Cloud enhancements; comfortable and highly capable at communicating progress against the prioritized roadmap
Develops new or enhance existing processes to support new marketing strategies; working with Marketing and technology client representatives to gather functional and technical requirements
Owner of Marketing Cloud Enhancement & Process Documentation; creates application wireframes and process designs, training materials (e.g. job aids, reference guides, training manuals),
Leads rock-solid solutions delivery; participate in the creation and execution of test plans, strategies, and communications (e.g. requirement traceability, test scripts, test data requirements, defect management)
Ensures effective and scalable data prop; monitors key data propagation & enhancement processes for success & failures
Supports effective admin and new user onboarding; delivering high-level / introductory overview sessions and performing limited user administration (setup and maintaining Users & Roles) across all BUs within our scope
REQUIRED Skills and Experience:
2+ years experience as Salesforce Marketing Cloud developer or solution architect preferred, preferably in an enterprise scale company
Proven Marketing Cloud developer chops with a passion for and 2+ years of experiencing supporting projects from requirements gathering to release management
1+ years of Marketing Cloud developer work experience in a B2B Marketing organization, or 2+ years working as a developer delivering Marketing Cloud solutions for B2B organizations
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification
Solid understanding of / experience with data modeling and querying as it pertains to Marketing Cloud required. Experience working with Marketing Cloud data extensions, queries and AMPScript preferred
Must be proficient with MS SQL, specifically within Marketing Cloud development or troubleshooting
Experience with testing/optimization platforms, and working with large datasets and databases preferred.
Creative problem solver and out of the box thinker who can effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders throughout a matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and deeply evaluate the technical components of a product from a business perspective.
Excellent communication skills
Must be highly proficient in Google Docs, MS Office Suite
PREFERRED Skills and Experience:
Previous experience with a large professional service organization
Experience administering other SaaS Marketing Automation systems (Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua, etc), and/or related certifications a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce a bonus
Experience with marketing customer data models
Experience with technologies and processes for mobile and social media technologies, solutions, and strategies
