Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, tools and equipment for
HVAC

Ability to read complex, detailed blue prints

Possesses extensive knowledge of all industrial/vocational skilled
trades and crafts in addition to related prescribed standards and
specifications for each

Knowledge of the role of an outside contractor, bid process, and project
officer

As the level of difficulty increases, the incumbent considers
differences in the courses of action and refines methods or develops new
techniques, concepts, theories, or programs, to solve problems

The incumbent is often required to depart from past approaches and to
extend traditional techniques or develop new ones to meet major
objectives and projects without compromising the integrity of the
finished work product

Knowledge of Occupational hazards and safety practices related to
building and grounds maintenance

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your
arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting,
balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

Must be able to lift 50lbs
Responsibilities

Maintains/controls indoor climate and environmental conditions by
maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and
maintaining records

Organizes work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications,
drawings, and blueprints, gathering required materials

Establishes environmental systems by mounting, installing, fabricating,
or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion
and discharge values, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans,
control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing,
and related components; completes power connections

Tests and repairs environmental systems by operating the systems;
identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing sealants, parts, and
components

Keeps tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions;
troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive
maintenance; calling for repairs

Documents actions by completing equipment records

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and
procedures and complying with legal regulations

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and
reading technical publications

Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related
results as needed

Incumbent is under the very general supervision of the Heat and Air
Supervisor

Supervisor assigns work on information regarding the objectives,
priorities and deadlines

Incumbent handles all work independently according to established
policies and accepted practices in the trades and crafts industry

Incumbent independently plans and carries out the projects and selects
the approaches and methods to be used in solving problems

Completed projects are reviewed to determine that objectives have been
met and are in compliance with higher authority, policies and
regulations

Incumbent applies prescribed industrial trades and crafts standards and
specifications as amended, employer standard operating procedures, in
addition to handbook, policies and precedents

The purpose of the work is to provide technical expertise in the design,
installation, maintenance, safety and repairs of the Heating,
Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system of the physical plant, and
equipment related to 7 Clan Casino properties

This work affects the quality of the mechanical and automated systems
within and throughout the property
