Maersk is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our team as a Shift Supervisor.
The position will be based at our new and exciting Maersk Coolstore, located strategically at the Ruakura Superhub in-land port, this position offers a rare opportunity to support and stand up a new team in a cutting-edge environmentally friendly Greenstar rated facility servicing New Zealand’s primary industry sector.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics department while leading and motivating a team of talented individuals.
Supervisors oversee shipping and logistics teams and activities for facilities. They are responsible for managing and coordinating all activities within a warehouse to work together seamlessly and efficiently. This role owns receiving and shipping orders, reviewing logistics, leading the relevant operational teams, working with the administration/planning teams, ensuring warehouse equipment is maintained and the highest safety standards are maintained. This role also focuses on problem solving to ensure KPI expectations are met and ensure shipments are delivered to the customer as per agreed standards.
