HR Business Partner will Lead HR programs and efforts to ensure effective plant performance and employee relations in close collaboration with the ABB HR network – GBS, COE, etc within Motion Business Area.

This position reports to

Plant Manager

Your responsibilities

• Partner with managers & employees to resolve issues that affect plant operations
• Lead HR activities related to interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, employee relations, employee handbook & policies, wage and benefit programs and other topics as required
• Recruit, interview, and select qualified employees to fill vacant positions. Work closely with ABB Talent Partners, contract agencies and community resources to fill requisitions on a timely basis
• Oversee the administration of HR processes at the location, ensuring compliance with Group policy and guidelines
• Manage affirmative action reporting, training, and support safety program administration
• Monitor employee turnover data and put measures in place to ensure attrition does not affect operational results. Assess employee morale and take initiative to address issues
• Manage plant communication plan to ensure operational success and effective employee relations
• Implement and ensure compliance with ABB global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes
• Lead community relations efforts

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years experience or Master’s and minimum 3 years experience. Experience working in a Manufacturing environment – preferred.
• PHR Certification is highly desired
• Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA
