Sales & Applications Engineer

As Sales & Applications Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out sales activities across Lower North Island and whole of South Island to maximize the volume and profitability of ABB Measurement & Analytics products & services. This role also involves assisting in sourcing new leads that creates new business opportunities within process sectors, namely Water & Waste, Pulp & Paper, Metals & Minerals, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Food & Beverage, and Cement. Reporting direct to National Sales Manager based in Grafton, Auckland you will be able to use your process instrumentation experience in sales or service to promote our industrial measurement instrumentation services and products, such as Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature. And industrial analytical instrumentation in Water, Gas, and Emissions analysis. Ideally, you already have existing relations in Water & Wastewater Industry.

Your responsibilities

• Presenting new products and services and enhance existing relationships
• Arranging and participating in internal and external client debriefs
• Proactively identifying new business opportunities within focused markets
• Identifying and developing relationships with key influencers and decision makers
• Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
• Providing monthly, quarterly, and yearly OCS forecasts to Sales Manager
• Meeting sales budget for orders received and orders gross margin

Your background

• Proven customer-facing industrial equipment sales track record
• Experience in key account management and new business development
• Adept with using CRM and MS Office
• Application based solution understanding of industrial measurement instrumentation such as- Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature
• Application based solution understanding of industrial analytical instrumentation in water, gas, and emissions analysis
• Effective all-round communicator with global and collaborative mindset
• Engineering Qualification in Industrial Instrumentation or Electrical will be beneficial
• Existing relations in Water & Wastewater Industry and process knowledge will be beneficial
