ABB OPTICAL Group Hiring for Accounts Payable Supervisor at Coral Springs, FL Full Time
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees activities in the accounts payable group. The position ensures timely payments of vendor invoices, prepares vendor reconciliations, maintains accurate financial records and produces various reports.
Essential Responsibilities include the following; other duties and special projects may be assigned:
- Process a high volume of invoices with accuracy
- Confirm invoices are properly coded to the correct general ledger account and department
- Ensure proper supporting documentation is attached to each voucher if appropriate
- Ensure timely payments to vendors with proper approval for the Cash Flow Team to Release
- Monitor daily activities to ensure the team is operating efficiently and within the defined guidelines
- Investigate and reconcile vendor accounts with issues
- Assist with the processing of normal business activities including but not limited to:
- Match invoices to receiving documents
- Process invoices for payment
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Supervise, train and mentor Accounts Payable Specialists
- Support Manager with all aspects of Accounts Payable
- Adhere to all necessary deadlines such as check runs, monthly closings and mailings
- Provide assistance and coordinate activities with auditors and other functions within the business
- Assists in preparing all reconciliations of inter company and accounts payable accounts
- Manage vendor invoices to avoid late fees and take advantage of prompt pay discounts
- Establish and maintain a vendor payment calendar
- Assist in cash flow forecast for cash disbursements
- Prepare month end closing schedules and accruals
- Attend and hold department meetings as required to communicate effectively with the team
- Collaborate with other departments to complete ad hoc requests
- Research receiving discrepancies as needed
- Produce Accounts Payable KPIs and other reporting package necessary to manage the business

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or minimum of five years of related experience
- Experience with a General Ledger System and Processes
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Intermediate level including basic lookups, pivot tables, and sorting & filtering)
