AC Hiring for Software Engineer Job at Melbourne, Australia Full Time

AC3 are looking for a contract Software Engineer to assist with a range of internal and external projects.

As a Senior API & Data Integration Engineer you will provide expert-level software and data engineering services in the delivery of a wide range of API and Integration projects on multiple cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure & GCP). You’ll be expected to be at the forefront of helping to drive the delivery of cutting-edge software solutions in technology areas such as Big Data & Analytics, Machine Learning, Blockchain etc.

As part of the Software & Data team, this role works closely with the other Professional Services teams, especially Consulting and Cloud Engineering to convert customer needs into functional solutions.

You will work closely with customer technical teams, Sales and our Project Managers to bring solutions to life, transitioning projects to Operational Services and/or customer support teams.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be a great leader, capable of leading by example & being able to mentor more junior Engineers.

Skills required
Expert level knowledge in secure REST API & Data Integration projects with specific experience in the following technology frameworks: Java (e.g. Spring boot, Spring MVC), Python, NodeJS (e.g. Express, Mean.io), Ruby, Big Data/Analytics, Microservice Architecture, Machine Learning, OAuth2, OAS 2.0+, exposure to modern JS frameworks (e.g, React, Angular) plus other open-source frameworks

Expert level DevOps knowledge in the build and design of deployment pipelines with experience in the following technologies: Source Version Control (e.g. Git, Subversion, TFS, Bitbucket etc.), containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and their associated orchestration engines (Kubernetes/Openshift/Rancher/Swarm, Jenkins CI/CD, Octopus etc.)

Advanced knowledge designing and implementing secure serverless API & Data Integration projects on the cloud using some of the popular services for AWS (e.g. S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, Cognito, Data Pipeline, API Gateway etc.) and Azure (e.g. Blob, CosmosDB, SQL databases, Functions, Active Directory, Data Factory, API Management)

Excellent knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools for API & Data Integration projects (e.g. Mockito, Selenium, Apache JMeter, Flood.IO, BlazeMeter, SILKPerformer, Apigee, JMeter, JBehave, Postman etc.)
